Whole wheat spaghetti w/ Carbonara

Whole wheat spaghetti in Carbonara Sauce Recipe

 

4 servings

Ingredients
375 grams whole wheat spaghetti

Carbonara Sauce
3 eggs
4 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese.
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
1 tablespoon olive oil
200 grams chopped ham
1 chopped onion
1 teaspoon garlic powder.
4 tablespoons white wine
˝ cup cream

Preparation

  1. Boil the spaghetti in water until just tender and drain well. Keep them warm.
  2. In a bowl whisk the eggs properly, with the cheese, parsley and basil.
  3. Heat up the oil in a pan, and cook the ham, onions and garlic over medium heat for 4-5 minutes. Add the wine and the cream; cook over low heat until it reduces to half.
  4. Take the pan out of the fire and pour the egg mix, add the spaghetti, mix up thoroughly and serve right away.

For a perfect meal serve with hot brown bread.
