Vegetables Pie Recipe
Ingredients 175 grs of butter 2 cups of flour ¼ cup of water 1 teaspoon of oil 1 small onion 1 red bell pepper 1 green bell pepper 150 grs of pumpkin 1 potato 100 grs of broccoli 1 small carrot ½ cup of cheddar cheese 1 cup of milk 2 egg yolks
Preparation
- In a cooking bowl beat butter gradually add flour, egg yolks and water mix all the ingredients until obtaining a smooth dough divide the dough in 2 let the dough sit for 1 hour.
- Pre heat oven at 190c spread 1 half of dough over a butter pan, and refrigerate the pie crust for 30 minutes before baking.
- Remove the pie crust from the fridge and bake for 10 minutes.
- In a small fraying pan fry onions, bell peppers and the rest of veggies cook until veggies are tender.
- In pan melt butter gradually add flour and milk and egg yolk creating a white sauce, add the cheese to the white sauce and mix and cook the sauce for 2 minutes add the fry vegetables to the sauce, pour the mix in the pie crust and spread evenly cover the pie with the left over dough, the pie in oven for 30 minutes.
