Apple Pie with Cream Recipe Ingredients 315 grams of broken pie dough 2 tablespoons of apricot jelly
Apple Filling Tart Recipe 75 grams of butter 3-4 cups of apples (peeled and minced) 2 tablespoons of sugar
Melted Candy Tart Recipe ¼ of a cup of sugar 4 teaspoons of water ¼ of a cup of thick cream 30 grams of butter, in small pieces
Sour Cream Cover 500 grams of sour cream 4 tablespoons of sugar 1 teaspoon of vanilla
Preparation of Recipe
- Extend the dough with your roller and cover an oiled mold for pies (18 cm diameter) with a removable base. Poke the dough with a fork, and then cover it with paper and some dry beans. Bake for 10 minutes then take out the beans and cook for another 8-10 minutes more till it gets crusty. Heat the jelly up till it boils, and when the dough is cooked, spread the boiling jelly on it and return into the oven for 3-4 minutes more. Take it out of the oven and let it cool completely.
- Filling: In a pan heat up half of the butter, and add half of the cup up apples, and half of the sugar; cook on low fire turning the apples around till until they are soft. Take the apples out and place them on a plate. Repeat the process till you finish with the ingredients. Arrange the apple slices on the cooked dough.
- Caramel: In a small pot place the water and sugar on fire, stir till it dissolves. Boil for about 8 minutes with out stirring or until the caramel takes color. Lower the flame, and add the cream while stirring for a couple of seconds; add the butter and mix well. Remove from the fire and let the it cool a bit. With a big spoon pour the caramel over the apple in the pie.
- Sour Cream Cover: In a bowl mix the sour cream with the sugar and cover the apples with this mixture, leveling it well till the border of the pie. Lower the temp. of the oven to 180°C and bake for about 5-7 minutes more. Let it cool off and then refrigerate several hours or all night till its served.
