Sweet Marzipan Bread Recipe
Ingredients Dough 30 grs dry yeast 1 teaspoon if sugar ¼ of a cup warm milk 250 grs of flour 80 grs of sugar 1 egg 100 grs butter 100 grs chopped almonds 1 teaspoon of vanilla
Filling 200 grs marzipan Rum 60 grs chopped canned cherries 80 grs candied fruit.
Dough Preparation
- In a cup dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it rise for 15 minutes.
- In a big cooking bowl mix, flour, pinch of salt, butter vanilla, and egg add milk if needed mix all the ingredients until obtaining a smooth workable dough, cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour .
Filling Preparation
- Soften the marzipan with rum add the cherries and candied fruit mix until obtaining a creamy substance.
- Spread the dough ever a clean table pour the stuffing over the dough, fold in the dough, and bake in the oven for 45 minutes. Let it cool down before serving.
