Sultan Peanuts and Chocolate Cake Recipe
Ingredients 125 grams of butter ½ cup of brown sugar ¼ cup of peanut butter 2 tablespoons of sugarcane syrup 2 eggs 1 and 2/3 cups of all purpose flour 2/3 cups of milk 100 grams of grated dark chocolate 100 grams of sultanas covered in chocolate 100 grams of peanuts covered in chocolate
- Preparation time: 15 minutes
- Baking time: 30 minutes
Preparation
- Preheat the oven at a moderate temperature of 180 degrees C. Grease a rectangular 20 by 30 centimeter baking mold with melted butter or oil. Cover the base and the walls with wax paper.
- Beat the butter, the sugar, the peanut butter and the sugarcane syrup in a big bowl until it acquires a light creamy texture. Gradually add in the eggs while beating it. Add the flour alternating with the milk and continue beating until the mixture is homogenized. Use a metal spoon to add in the grated chocolate, the sultanas, and the chocolate covered peanuts.
- With the help of a spoon put the preparation in the mold and smoothen out the surface. Bake the cake for 30 minutes or until when poking the center with a wooden pick it comes out clean. Let it sit for 10 minutes after it is done and when it has cooled, cut it in squares and serve. Sprinkle some confectioner’s sugar over the top and serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
