Russian Tangerine Charlotte

Ingredients
1 can of 300 gr of tangerines
135 gr lemon jell-o
15 gr green color candied fruit
18 small biscuits
1 or 2 tsps of Curacao, Grand Marnier or Cointreau
300 ml skimmed milk
Skimmed milk

Preparation

  1. Dampen a flan mold which should be more than ½ liter with water.
  2. Dilute and add the syrup from the can of tangerines and some water till getting 4 ½ deciliters of liquid.
  3. Cover the bottom of the mold with jell-o and put in the fridge until it hardens. Once it is hardened, place the biscuits which should be dampened with jell-o and placed on the sides of the mold.
  4. Place some slices of tangerine at the bottom of the mold, on top of the already hardened jell-o and between them a few rhombus of the candied fruit wetting them with the liquid jell-o before placing them, put in the fridge until it hardens, cover with another layer of jell-o and place into the fridge again.
  5. On the meantime mix the skimmed milk with the liquor, fill the center of the mold with skimmed milk and tangerines until finishing the skimmed milk, pour the rest of the jell-o on the sides of the mold on top of the biscuits for them to soak well. When the jell-o gets to the limit of the mold. Place into the freezer from one day to the next.
  6. To remove from mold, soak the mold in boiling water for a little and place on a tray. Decorate with skimmed milk and tangerine slices.
