Russian Braid Recipe
Ingredients Dough 200 grs flour 30 grs yeast Warm milk
Cream 100 grs raisins 2 teaspoon of cognac or rum 100 grs chopped nuts 3 teaspoon of grated bread 2 teaspoons sugar Whip cream Butter
Dough Preparation Dissolve the yeast in warm milk. In a medium size cooking bowl place flour and dissolve yeast, mix until obtaining a smooth dough, let it rise for 30 minutes.
Cream Preparation
- Cut the raisins and soak in rum or cognac, add the grated bread, nuts and mix well gradually add the whip cream and mix until obtaining a creamy substance.
- Roll the dough on the table; spread the cream over the dough,
- Cut the dough in 3 pieces and braid evenly.
- Place the braid in a butter pan and bake for 35 minutes.
