Rosemary in Medicinal Herbs

Curative properties

Hepatic affections: drink one cup of wine with meals.

Asthma: do inhalations or drink the brew.

Bronchitis: do inhalations or drink the infusion.

Hair loss: massage with the rosemary lotion.  Besides, drink 2 cups daily of the infusion mixed with horsetail.

Hair softener: massage with the infusion while bathing.  For a lustrous hair, before washing massage scalp with vinegar for 20 minutes.

Dandruff: before washing hair, massage scalp with vinegar for 20 minutes.  For dry hair, rub the scalp with the rosemary infusion before washing.  For greasy hair, put some drops of vinegar or rosemary oil in water and wash.

Scars: wash with the brew.

Digestive: drink the leaf infusion 2 to 3 times a day or one cup of wine with meals.

Joint pain: drink the infusion of a fistful of twigs in a liter of water.  Also, wash hands and feet or massage with the oil.

Headache: drink the infusion of a fistful of twigs in a liter of water to which you can also add chamomile.  Also massage with the oil.

Menstrual problems: drink the infusion.

Pharyngitis: do gargles with the infusion.

Gases: drink the leaf infusion, 2 to 3 times a day or one cup of wine with meals.

Blows: for twists and sprains, massage with the tincture.

Mouth inflammation: do gargles with the infusion.

Skin inflammation: clean with the lotion or oil.

Lumbago: massage with the tincture or oil.

Bad circulation: massage with the tincture, wash with herbs or drink the infusion.

Neuralgia: drink the infusion of one fistful of twigs in a liter of water.  Also, wash hands and feet or massage with oil.

Menstrual problems: regulates menstruation.  Drink the infusion.

Burns: apply the oil over affected area.

Rheumatism: massage with the leaf maceration, tincture or oil.  Also, do herbal baths.

Increase blood pressure: drink one cup of wine with meals or drink the infusion.

Cough: do inhalations or drink the infusion.

Preparation

Oil: macerate in the sun, 200g of the plant with the flower in a liter of olive oil, 30 to 40 day.  Filter and store it.

Herbal baths: add to the bath between 100 to 200g of leaves and flowers for every liter of water.

Brew: boil 100 to 200g of the plant per liter of water.  Let stand for a few minutes.  Use only for external cleaning.

Infusion: add 5 to 10g of leaves and flowers to one liter of boiling water.  Remove immediately from heat and let stand. Strain and serve.

Inhalations: boil water and add the plant.  Absorb the steam directly from the pot, covering head with a towel and closing eyes and mouth.  You can also use a paper or carton cone that adapts mouth and nose.

Lotion: mix 200g of rosemary tincture with 150g f distilled water and one spoon of glycerin.  Shake well and store.

Tincture: macerate 250g of fresh rosemary leaves in a liter of alcohol of 70º for 9 days. Shake container everyday.  Filter and store in a dark airtight bottle.

Vinegar: submerge 25 of rosemary in a liter of apple vinegar.  Macerate for two weeks, shaking it occasionally.  Strain and bottle it.

Wine: macerate 40g of rosemary and 10g of mint in a liter of white wine for 3 to 7 days.  Move occasionally.

Precaution
Do not use in case of pregnancy, hypertensive, in case of epilepsy or renal inflammation. Do not abuse internal use.  The use of excessive essential oil can provoke irritation in the organs of the pelvis and gastritis.
