Rainfall of Happiness Cake Recipe
Materials Low cake made with a round mold of 40 cm in diameter Base wrapped in gold metallic paper with the shape of a semi-circle and with a border of 3 cm bigger than the cake 1 recipe of butter cream glaze Yellow, lilac and peach food coloring paste Decorating sleeve Filter tip #301, 401, 10, 71, 22 and 56 1 recipe of royal glaze Filling cream as you wish Pearls 1.5 cm of lilac string of 2cm thick A little paste for wrapping 1 cane and 1 plastic stick Nail for making flowers
Glaze flowers Prepare 6 roses in a lilac color using filter tip #301, and 3 peach colored ones with filter tip #401. Make also 6 lilac rosebuds and 12 peach colored ones. Let them dry.
Semi-circles Stretch a piece of paste and cut circles of 8 cm in diameter.
Divide them in the center (5 semi-circles are needed). Let them dry.
Shaping and decoration
- Divide the cake in two semi-circles and place on top of the other with the filling in the middle.
- Spread the lateral sides of the cake with yellow glaze and the top part white.
- Place the semicircles and glaze them white.
- With a toothpick mark what will be the segments of the umbrella.
- Place white glaze on a decorating sleeve with filter tip #10 and refill each segment making hidden points or suttee. Make the borders with a string of pearls.
- Change to filter tip #401 and make a ruffle on the waves of the top part.
- Give the ruffles a finish with a shell shaped ribbing on the lower border of the cake.
- Group the roses and the rosebuds placing green glaze leaves made with filter tip #56.
- Finally, introduce the plastic tip as if it were coming out of the side of the cake, and the plastic cane (to which you roll string and pearls around) on the other side. Finish this with a double ribbon.
