General Conditions
The prime material must be free of impurities and harmful substances, as well as be in good conditioned and conserved properly.
The packaging you use must be new and not have any stains on them. It will be necessary to keep the products in a fresh place so they are well protected.
And in the places the products are going to be sold, the products must be protected from the sun, humidity, dirt, etc.
General Requirements
The snacks must be free of microorganisms, fungus etc. The flavor, color, smell and texture of the product must have the characteristics of the product, and should not present any signs of being rancid or have any strange flavors or disagreeable odors.
Physical Chemical Requirements
- Maximum amount of humidity should be of 3%
- Index of peroxide should be maximum 5 meg/kilograms
- Index of acidity, pressed in oily acid at maximum 0.30%
Labeling The
Product
Each country has its own rules when it comes to labeling its products. The ones that we will mention are not related to a specific place but are the general ones that are usually required. Check the laws and regulations in your own country.
Name of the product: It should be specific and indicate the real nature of the product.
List of ingredients: The ingredients must be numbered by descending order of weight in the moment it is fabricated and the amount of water added must be indicated. In the case of any sort of additives, the generic name will need to be placed on the label.
Net content and strained weight: The legal system of the country you live in must be used, in volume for liquids and in weight for solids.
Besides this, the name and address of the producer must be indicated, as well as the packager, distributor, and sales place; the country of origin, the lot identification; the expiry date and indications on how to conserve the product, the industrial registration, sanitary authorization and any other data required by law.
