Pork Tart Recipe
Ingredients 3 cups of flour 3 egg yolks 125 grs of pork lard 2/3 cups water 600 grs of pork meat cut in small pieces 4 slices of bacon 1 chopped onion 1 celery stick cut in small pieces 1 cup of grated bread 1 beaten egg
Aspic ½ cup of apple juice 1 teaspoons of chicken broth 2 teaspoons of gelatin
Preparation
- In a bowl sift flour, add melted pork lard, eggs mix all the ingredients with a wooden spoon until obtaining a smooth dough.
- Spread the dough over a butter pan.
- Grind the pork meet in a meat grinder; place the grind meat in a big bowl mix in celery, onions, and grated bread mix all the ingredients well until obtaining smooth meat dough. Refrigerate meat for 1 hour.
- Spread the dough over the butter pan, pour the meat dough over the crust, and cover the tart with left over dough. Make a little hole on top of the tart to pour the aspic while it bakes.
- In a small pot mix apple juice, water, gelatin and broth cook until the gelatin it dissolve.
- Gradually go pouring the aspic on the tart while in the oven, bake in the oven for 40 minutes.
