Plum Pudding Recipe

Ingredients
500 grams of red plums, without the core and cut in four
1/3 cup of brandy
2-3 tablespoons of sugar
¼ cup of sifted flour
¼ cup of sugar
3 eggs, lightly whipped
1 cup of milk

Orange Sauces
¾ cup of orange juice
2 tablespoons of sugar
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
2 teaspoons of corn starch dissolved in
4 teaspoons of water

Preparation of Recipe

  1. Place the plums and brandy in a bowl; sprinkle the sugar on them, cover and let it rest for 30 minutes drain them and set the liquid aside, and place the plum in a lightly greased refractory.
  2. Place the flour, sugar, eggs and milk in a bowl, and whip until you obtain smooth dough. Pour the dough evenly over the plums and bake for 40-45 minutes or until it’s ready.
  3. Sauce: Place the brandy mixture, orange juice, sugar, and corn starch in a pot on low flame, and constantly mix until the mixture boils and thickens.  Accompany the plum pudding with the sauce and if you wish with whipped cream.
