Pistachio Ice Cream

Ingredients
500 ml milk
2 eggs
100 gr sugar
15 gr cornstarch
1 tbspn vanilla sugar
2 tbspn milk cream
125 gr peeled pistachios
3 drops almond extract (optional)

Preparation

  1. Grind the pistachios
  2. Mix the cornstarch in ½ cup of milk
  3. Heat the remaining milk
  4. Beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla sugar. Add the milk and diluted cornstarch, mix continuously.
  5. Put in a pot and heat at low flame until it thickens; remove from stove once it begins to boil.
  6. Add the pistachios and the almond extract.
  7. Let it cool and add the milk cream then refrigerate.

If you can find peeled pistachios, place them in boiling water for 5 min and peel them. Let them dry before grinding them.
