Pestiño Recipe
Ingredients: 300 grs of flour 1 dl of oil 2 cups of sherry A dab of ground anis 250grs of honey 1 egg 50grs of powdered sugar
Preparation: Place the flour, the oil, a dab of salt, the sherry, the egg, 2 spoons of honey and the anises in a container, mix all very well until you get a compact paste. Stretch the paste with a roller on a marble or kneading table and give to it the thickness of 1cm approximately, cut the paste in oval shapes and fry them in a frying pan with abundant oil and at a high flame; once fried remove and strain them. In a container boil the honey with half dl of water for 10 minutes. Once removed from the fire soak them in this mix the pistiños and put them to strain on top of a strainer, make sure they are covered with a layer of honey. After, sprinkle the pistiños with powdered sugar and serve in a tray covered with paper napkins.
