Pepper Tree in Medicinal Herbs
Curative properties
Asthma: drink the infusion or do inhalations with the brew.
Lower blood pressure: drink the leaf brew.
Bronchitis: do gargles or inhalations with the infusion.
Scars: apply a cataplasm from the root, leaves and resin over the affected area. Wash with herbs.
Colic: drink the infusion.
Conjunctivitis: wash with the juice from the leaves.
Depression: drink the brew from the leaves.
Diuretic: drink the infusion.
Hemorrhoids: wash with the brew from the fruits.
Hepatitis: drink the infusion or maceration.
Skin inflammation: apply the resin over the affected area or a grinded leaf cataplasm. If not, wash with the infusion.
Laxative: drink the infusion.
Blood cleanliness: drink the leaf infusion.
Palpitations: drink the leaf brew.
Menstrual problems: drink the leaf brew.
Flu: drink the infusion or do inhalations with the brew.
Rheumatism: drink 2 cups of the leave and fruit brew once you get up in the morning.
Cough: do gargles or inhalations with the infusion.
Preparation
Herbal baths: add to the bath 300 to 500g of leaves and fruits for every 5 to 6 liters of water or in infusion, brew or essentials oils.
Cataplasm: grind the leaves and soak in hot water until forming a paste. Place them in any natural porous fiber and use as bandage over affected area until discomfort diminishes. Also apply directly over affected area covering the paste with a hot towel.
Brew: boil in low temperature 10g of leaves or fruits in one liter of water for 5 days. Let stand for a few minutes and strain.
Infusion: add 10g of flowers in a liter of boiling water. Remove immediately from heat and let stand for 5 minutes. Strain and serve.
Inhalations: boil water and add the plant. Absorb the steam directly from the pot, covering head with a towel and closing eyes and mouth. You can also use a paper or carton cone that adapts mouth and nose.
Juice: crush the plant with a few drops of water. Place in gauze, squeeze and strain the loose juice. Take it in spoonfuls diluted with water.
Precaution In case of pregnancy or nursing, do not use without medical supervision.
