Pears with Chocolate

Pears with Chocolate

Ingredients
750 ml of water
125 grams of sugar
1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
4 peeled pears with stem
Chocolate covering
Chocolate leaves, for serving

Preparation

  1. In a casserole heat the water, the sugar and the vanilla extract.
  2. Cut a very thin strip off the base of the pears and then place them in the casserole. Cook them over low heat, covered, for ten minutes or until they soften, but make sure they keep their shape. Then take the pears out of the liquid and place them upwards in a slightly deep dish. Get rid of the liquid.
  3. While they are still hot, pour a good quantity of chocolate covering on top of each pear, just enough to cover the surface and let cool. Just before serving, decorate it with chocolate leaves.

Serves 6.
