Papaya and Melon Jam
Ingredients for 2 liters 1 small melon 1 papaya 800 grs of sugar 2 lemons 1 spoon of pistachios (totally peeled)
- Marinating time: 2 hrs
- Preparation time: 40 min
- Split the melon in half and withdraw the seeds. With a spoon withdraw the pulp and cut it into small pieces.
- Split the papaya in half and withdraw the seeds. Peel the papaya and cut into small pieces.
- Mix the papaya, melon and sugar together. Leave to marinate for an approximate of 2 hrs.
- Wash 1 lemon with hot water, grate it. Squeeze both lemons out and smash the pistachios.
- Wash the crystals recipients with hot water, and let them drip dry.
- Mix the grated lemon peel, lemon juice, and pistachios with the melon and papaya pulp. Cook it until boiling point. Keep stirring the mixture and cook it on a low flame for another 4 min until it turns into jam.
- Fill the crystal recipients with the jam and close them immediately. The mousse will last for about 3 months in a fresh place.
