Orange Crepes with Yogurt Recipe
Ingredients of recipe 1 cup of flour ½ teaspoon of salt ½ teaspoon of baking soda 1¼ cup of natural yogurt 1 lightly whipped egg 1/3 of a cup of milk Extra natural yogurt (optional)
Orange Sauce 1 teaspoon of grated orange peel ½ cup of orange juice 2 tablespoons of sugar 1 teaspoon of corn starch, dissolved in 2 teaspoons of water 2 tablespoons of Cointreau (Orange Liquor)
Preparation of Dessert
- Sift the flour, salt, baking soda together; make a hole in the middle and pour the yogurt in, previously mixed with the egg, and milk. Mix till you get a smooth mixture.
- Place some tablespoons of this paste on a thick pan, lightly oiled and pre heated at low flame. When bubbles begin to form from the paste, turn the crepe around and cook it on the other side till it turns brown.
- Sauce: Place the juice, grated peels and sugar in a small pot on stove and let it cook at low flame, stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves. Continue stirring adding the corn starch and cook for another 1-2 minutes or until the sauce thickens. Pour the Cointreau in and cook for another 2 minutes. Pour the sauce over the crepes and accompany it with natural yogurt
