Nut, Caramel and Coconut Cake Recipe
Ingredients ¼ cup of brown sugar 1/3 cup of coconut flakes ½ cup of nuts, in pieces 40 grams of melted butter 2 tablespoons of sugarcane syrup 1 packet of cake mixture

Preparation
- Preheat the oven at a moderate temperature of 180 degrees C. Grease a round 20 centimeter in diameter baking mold with melted butter or oil. Cover the base and the walls with wax paper.
- Mix the sugar, the coconut, the nuts, the butter and the sugarcane syrup in a small bowl. Moisten your fingers a little and extend the mixture uniformly over the base of the mold.
- Prepare the cake according to the instructions on the packet. With the help of a spoon, put the cake dough over the coconut mixture. Smoothen the surface with a spatula and bake the cake for 35 to 40 minutes or until when poking the center of the cake with a wooden pick it comes out clean. Let it sit for 5 minutes. Then place it over a metal rack and allow it to cool. This delicious cake can also be served hot with ice cream or whipped cream.
