Treatment
Try to make the baby drink all the milk that is produced. If there is any milk stagnation, apply warm water compresses over breasts to help the milk come out or take a hot water shower over breasts before nursing.
Medicinal plants
- For inflammation, use fennel. For general inflammations, use gold bloom, coco shrub, linseed, mauve or cat’s claw.
- To increase milk production, use anise, dandelion, fennel or nettle.
- For cracked nipples, dilute the gold bloom tincture in boiling water and use it to soak nipples after nursing.
Nourishment, vitamins and minerals
- For harden breasts, apply crushed parsley.
- Eat foods that are rich in proteins, vitamins, iron and calcium.
- Drink a lot of liquids while nursing.
- For painful and cracked nipples, apply vitamin E and use oats and water as indicated in home remedies. To increase mil production, use basil, celery, oats, cumin, eggs, peanuts and carrots.
