Ñame Bun Recipe
Ingredients: ½ kg of ñame 1 egg 6tsps of flour 2tsps of butter 2tsps of pork lard 2tsps of milk Oil Salt
Preparation: Place a pot in the fire with 1 ½ liters of water and a little salt.
Peel, wash and cut the name in medium sized pieces. Once the water boils, place the name in it and let it cook for 40 minutes until it is very soft. Strain and mash the name to make a very fine puree. Add the butter, the milk, flour, ½ tsp of salt and the egg to the name mix. Stir all the ingredients well until they are well mixed. Place a frying pan into the fire and heat a large amount of oil, once it is very hot reduce the flame to medium heat and cook the buns. Strain them and place them on top of absorbing paper for them to lose the remaining oil. Serve in a tray covered with paper napkins and sprinkle powdered sugar on them.
