Milk and Caramel Dessert
- For: 6 servings
- Time: 60 minutes
Ingredients: 1 liter milk 6 eggs 1 tbsp cornstarch 14 tbsps sugar 1 lemon peel Liquid caramel
Preparation:
- Boil milk with the lemon peel.
- Beat the egg yolks with sugar and cornstarch in a pot. Once they’re foamy and a light yellow color, add the hot milk slowly and place on fire beating continuously.
- Cook in a double sauce pan.
- Once it is thickened remove from the fire and stir every once in a while until cooled off for it not to get any skimmed milk on the top.
- Beat the egg whites till stiff with 6 tbsps of sugar.
- Keep stirring until they are very firm.
- Once the cream is cold it is placed into a bowl and little balls of meringue are placed on top.
