Milk and Caramel Dessert

 

Milk and Caramel Dessert

  • For: 6 servings
  • Time: 60 minutes

 

Ingredients:
1 liter milk
6 eggs
1 tbsp cornstarch
14 tbsps sugar
1 lemon peel
Liquid caramel

Preparation:

  1. Boil milk with the lemon peel.
  2. Beat the egg yolks with sugar and cornstarch in a pot. Once they’re foamy and a light yellow color, add the hot milk slowly and place on fire beating continuously.
  3. Cook in a double sauce pan.
  4. Once it is thickened remove from the fire and stir every once in a while until cooled off for it not to get any skimmed milk on the top.
  5. Beat the egg whites till stiff with 6 tbsps of sugar.
  6. Keep stirring until they are very firm.
  7. Once the cream is cold it is placed into a bowl and little balls of meringue are placed on top.
