Meat Pie Recipe

Ingredients 750 grams puff pastry dough 30 grams melted butter
Meat Stuffing 30 grams butter 1 chopped onion ½ minced meat 2 tablespoons flour ½ cup (125 grams) tomato paste 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 2/3 cup (170 ml) meat broth
Preparation
1. To prepare the stuffing, melt the butter in a frying pan and fry the onion for 3-4 minutes. Add the minced meat and cook until it gets brown, add the flour and cook or 1 more minute. Mix the tomato paste, de Worcestershire sauce and the broth, add them to the frying pan. Continue cooking, stirring all the time, ad when it starts boiling, it reduce and then simmer, without covering, until all the liquid has evaporated and the mix is thick. Set it aside so it cools down.
2. Wrap a 23 cm pie tin with ¾ of the puff pastry dough and cover the borders with water. Pour the meat mix into the pie and cover with the rest of the dough, press the borders. With your fingers, pinch the borders to decorate and make a cut in the middle of the pie. Bake for 20 minutes, until it gets brown.
Serving suggestion Serve with peas and mashed potatoes. Oven temperature: 190°C
