Marzipan and Cherry Cake Recipe
Ingredients 1 packet of base mixture for cake Milk 1/3 cup of cherries, chopped in big pieces 100 grams of grated marzipan ¼ cup of grated dry coconut
- Preparation time: 30 minutes
- Baking time: 35 minutes
Preparation
- Preheat the oven at a moderate temperature of 180 degrees C. Grease a crowned shaped 23 centimeter in diameter baking mold with melted butter or oil.
- Prepare the cake by following the instructions on the packet. Substitute the liquid for the milk. Add in the chopped cherries, the marzipan and the coconut. Stir well until all the ingredients are mixed well.
- With the help of a spoon put the preparation in a mold. Bake the cake for 35 minutes or until when poking the center of the cake with a wooden pick it comes out clean. Let it sit for 10 minutes and then put it over a metal rack and allow it to cool. Sprinkle the cake with confectioner’s sugar or with a glazing of your choice and serve.
