Mango Jam
Ingredients for 2 liters 3-4 Mangoes 1 squeezed lemon 1 kg. of sugar 1 piece of ginger 3 branches of fresh mint
- Marinating time: 1-2 hrs.
- Preparation time: 30 min approx
- Withdraw the pulp from the mangoes and cut the in pieces.
- Mix the mango pulp with the lemon juice and sugar. Let them marinate in a recipient for 1-2 hrs. Every now and then, go stirring the mixture.
- Peel and Slice up and the ginger like if they were potatoes. Wash out the mint, withdraw their stem and tear up the leaves.
- Wash the crystals recipients with hot water, and let them drip dry.
- Add the ginger to the mango mixture and go stirring on the flame until boiling point. Withdraw the foam that gets created on the top and let it boil at low flame for approx. 5 min.
- Mix the jam with the mint leaves. Then fill out the crystal recipients with the jam and close them immediately. The jelly will last for about 6 months in a fresh place.
