Kirsch Jam

Ingredients for 2 liters
1 kg of cherries
ΒΌ liter red wine
1,2 kg of sugar
1 envelope of vanilla sugar
1 lemon squeezed out
A pinch of ground clover

  • Marinating time: 2 hrs
  • Preparation time: 45 min
  1. Wash the cherries, withdraw their stem and seeds.
  2. Take 6 cherry seeds place them in a clean cloth, and with a hammer hit them a couple of times to split them slightly.
  3. In a closed bowl let all the cherries, the smashed seeds inside the cloth, sugar, red wine and the vanilla sugar marinating for an approximate of 2 hours until it turns into juice.
  4. Wash the crystals recipients with hot water, and let them drip dry.
  5. Go adding the lemon juice and ground clover to the marinating ingredients in the closed bowl.
  6. Go stirring and cooking the cherries on a high flame. Once it boils lower the flame and cook for another 4 min.
  7. Withdraw the cloth with the smashed seeds inside from the mixture.
  8. Fill the crystal recipients with the jam and close them immediately. The jam should last for about 6 months in a fresh place.
