Kings Cake Recipe
Ingredients 250 grs flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon lemon peel 2 teaspoons of milk 125 grs butter
Stuffing 200 grs flour 1 teaspoon of baking powder 150 grs raisins, almonds, candied fruit Grated Lemon peel 6 egg whites 6 egg yolks 50 grs glazed sugar 2 pre beaten eggs
Preparation
- In a cooking bowl mix flour , baking powder , sugar , grated lemon peel ,milk and melted butter , mix all the ingredients until obtaining a soft dough.
- Spread ¾ of dough over previous butter pan.
Frosting Preparation
- In a small bowl mix flour baking powder, raisins, candied fruit and grated lemon peel.
- In a separate bowl beat egg yolks, sugar and rum gradually add the melted butter while beating. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Whip the egg whites; gradually add sugar until they turn snow white, add this mix to the previous mix, and beat well until obtaining a creamy batter.
- Cover the previous bake dough with batter use the left over dough to cover the tart.
- Bake in oven for 45 minutes. Serve cold.
