Italian Style Cold Cookie Cake Recipe
Ingredients 200 grams of dark chocolate in pieces 200 grams of butter 2 eggs ¾ cup of dry fruit ¼ cup of hazelnuts chopped in big pieces 125 grams of sweet cookies, in small pieces
- Preparation time: 15 minutes plus 5 hours of refrigeration
- Baking time: 3 minutes
Preparation
- Grease a round 20-centimeter baking pan with melted butter or oil. Wrap the base of the baking pan and the walls with wax paper.
- Mix the chocolate and the butter in a small bowl. Put it over a casserole with hot boiling water (double boil) and stir until both ingredients have mixed well.
- Let it cool a little and then add in the eggs and beat it. Add in the dry fruit, the hazelnuts, and the pieces of cookies and mix them together well. Put the mixture into the mold and smoothen it out. Then refrigerate the cake for 5 hours or until it has acquired consistency.
- Serve cut in small portions and accompany it with ice cream or whipped cream.
