Irish Fish Pie Recipe
Ingredients 750 grs of white fish filets 2 trips of lemon peel ¼ of nutmeg 1 Teaspoon of salt and pepper 2 leafs of laurel 3 teaspoons of parley 2 cup of milk 30 grs of butter 2 teaspoons of flour 2 teaspoons of parlay 1 kilo of cut and peel potatoes 40 grs of butter 2 teaspoons of milk cream Salt and pepper 4 sticks of celery
Preparation
- In a small pot boil the fish, celery, lemon peel, nutmeg, parley and laurel leaves and milk let it boil for 15 minutes until the fish its tender, remove the filets from the pot carefully, keep the liquid for the sauce.
- In a small pot melt butter and add the celery cook for 10 minutes gradually add flour and mix for 1 minute add the fish broth and milk beat until obtaining a smooth white sauce, cut the fish in thin strips and add to the white sauce.
- Boil the potatoes in a pot until the potatoes are tender, mash the potatoes add milk cream, butter.
- Pre heat oven at 210c pour the fish sauce in a pan, cover the fish pie with mash potatoes creating a pie, bake the pie for 20 or until golden brown.
