Hot Coffee Drinks

Irish Coffee (or Scottish): Put a heaping teaspoon of sugar in a glass of heated wine. Add in a measure of whisky and stir well; then fill the cup with hot, strong, black coffee up until 2 and a half centimeters from the edge of the cup. Stir it until the sugar has mixed with the coffee since this is very important at the time of assuring that the cream stays on top. Then by holding a pastry spoon over the cup slowly pour some cream over the back of the teaspoon. Serve immediately.

Balalaika Coffee: This is a variation of Irish coffee and vodka is used instead of whisky.

Brulot Coffee: This is another popular drink. For each cup of coffee you will need 2 teaspoon of sugar, 3 cloves, a strip of lemon peel and another one from an orange, a small cinnamon stick around 2,5 centimeters long, and one full measure of brandy. Pour the hot coffee into a preheated cup. In a small pot heat up on low heat all the rest of the ingredients and when the sugar has dissolved, turn up the heat and add in the coffee.

Royale Coffee: This simply consists of a sweetened strong black coffee and a generous amount of brandy added in.

Happy Marriage: This drink is very popular in diverse parts of Europe and particularly in Switzerland and Germany. It consists of a mix of equal parts of coffee and hot chocolate, as it is or by adding in a little brandy or rum.

Coffee And Ice Drinks: On a hot day, coffee with ice is one of the most refreshing drinks you can drink. Coffee with ice that is more frequently used consists of equal amounts of milk and strong coffee, although a cup of strong coffee that has been sweetened and poured over some ice cubes is very delicious and refreshing.

Spiced Coffee with Ice: Prepare around 550 to 600 ml of strong black coffee, and add 2 cinnamon sticks to it, 6 cloves, 6 pinches of mixed spices and a tablespoon of sugar. Let it sit for at least an hour. Taste and add in more sugar if necessary. Put some ice cubes into four glasses and crown each drink with a squirt of whipped cream.

Liegoise Coffee: Prepare some strong black coffee and sweeten it to your liking. Pour some ice cubes in long glasses filling them up to three fourths. Add in one serving of vanilla or coffee ice cream and crown each cup with a squirt of whipped cream sprinkled with a little chocolate powder.

Milk and Coffee Shake: This is a drink that will probably be to the liking of your children. Dissolve 2 teaspoons of instant coffee and 1 teaspoon of sugar in one tablespoon of hot water. Place it in a mixer with around 150 ml of cold milk and 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream. Mix it all well until it is uniform and foamy, then pour it into tall glass cups and serve with a straw.
