Curative properties
Anesthetic: drink the brew of 20g of the plant per liter of water, 2 to 3 times a day.
Anemia: drink the plant extract diluted in water.
Arthrosis: drink the brew or apply a cataplasm with mud or clay.
Hair loss: wash with the brew or tincture.
Kidney gallstones: drink the brew of 40g of the plant per liter of water, 3 to 4 cups daily.
Dandruff: wash with the brew or tincture.
Conjunctivitis: rinse eyes with the brew of 40g of the plant per liter of water.
Cuts and scrapes: apply the extract, crushed plant or the brew of 100g of plant per liter of water over affected area.
Diuretic: drink the brew of 50g of plant per liter of water.
Bone pain: apply the cataplasm over affected area.
Kidney pain: bathe with the brew.
Eczema: apply a cataplasm or wash or bathe with the brew of 100g of the plant per liter of water.
Nasal hemorrhages: apply extract, crushed plant or the brew of 100g of the plant per liter of water, over affected area.
Inflammation urinary tract: boil and drink the brew of 20g of the plant per liter of water, 2 to 3 times a day.
Lumbago: bathe with the brew.
Bad blood circulation: bathe with herbs.
Menstrual problems: controls and regulates excessive flow. Drink 3 to 4 times daily the brew of 10g to 60g of plant per liter of water, during 20 minutes.
Sweaty feet: wash with the brew or clean feet with tincture.
Ulcers: boil and drink the infusion.
Preparation
Better to use fresh plants because dry plants can loose part of their properties.
Bath: macerate a fistful of fresh plant cut into pieces in warm water during several hours. Then, boil several minutes and let stand for 15 minutes. Rinse with this water between 10 to 20 minutes, 1 or 2 times a day.
Cataplasm: heat up in steam a fistful of fresh plant. When it’s soft, wrap in any natural porous fiber and use as bandage over affected area until discomfort diminishes.
Brew: boil 30 to 50g of the plant in low temperature in half a liter of water, between 15 to 30 minutes. Turn it off, let stand for a few minutes and strain. Drink 3 cups daily.
Extract: crush plant with drops of water. Place in a gauze, squeeze and strain loose juice. Take it in spoonfuls diluted with water.
Tincture: to drink; macerate in the sun 150g of fresh plant in half a liter of alcohol of 70º or brandy, during 15 days. Strain and bottle it. Take between 30 to 40 drops, 2 times a day. For external use: dilute 50 drops of maceration in a cup of water and rub over affected area.
Precaution
In case of pregnancy or nursing, do not use without medical supervision. Do not use constantly. Can produce eye problems.
