Honduran Torrijas Recipe
Ingredients: 2 small breads 1 cup of cognac 100grs of sugar Butter Cinnamon sticks Milk
Preparation: Cut the breads in not too thin slices. Place them on a tray and soak them with milk making sure they aren’t too soft. Beat the eggs.
Place the bread slices on the beat eggs and fry in butter until the slices are brown.
Make thick syrup in a container with the sugar and a cup of water. Add to it the cinnamon stick. Place the torrijas in the syrup and let them cook at a low flame for a couple of minutes for them to be well impregnated.
One moment before removing them from the fire add the cognac.
