Honduran Rum pope Recipe
Ingredients: 9 egg yolks 400grs of sugar 1 liter of milk ¼ liter of rum Cinnamon Nutmeg
Preparation: Place the milk, sugar, half a cinnamon stick and the grated nutmeg in the fire and stir well for the sugar to dissolve. Once the milk starts to boil, remove from the fire and let it warm off.
On the meantime beat the egg yolks by hand or with the hand blender at a low speed until they become whiter.
Add the beat egg yolks to the warm milk and place the container at a low flame again stirring it nonstop until the mix becomes thick, but make sure not to let it boil. Place the cream in a porcelain or glass container and let it cool off. Once it is cold add the rum to it.
This dessert is served cold.
