Homemade biscuits

Ingredients
4 eggs
2 cups of sugar
1 cup of oil
2 cups of milk
1 lemon
3 tsp. baking soda
700gr flour

Preparation

  1. Separate the yolks from the egg whites.
  2. Stir the egg whites in a large bowl until very stiff
  3. Add the yolks and sugar and continue stirring.
  4. Add the oil and milk, the grated lemon and its extract.
  5. Keep stirring until it’s all mixed well.
  6. Add flour slowly with the three tsp. of baking soda.
  7. Mix well.
  8. Pour into a long and big buttered mold.
  9. Put into oven at a moderate heat for an hour.
  10. Before removing from oven, check by putting a needle to see if it’s well cooked.
  11. Serve in a large tray
  12. Glazed sugar can be sprinkled on top

Practical advice
The oven must be heated half an hour before placing the biscuit in it, that way it will be in the appropriate heat
