Ham and Cheese Pie Recipe

Ingredients 4 eggs 2/3 cup (170 ml) milk 8 slices brown bread, cut into fourths 125 grams chopped ham 4 tablespoons finely chopped red pepper 6 chopped scallions 1 cup (125 grams) grated Manchego cheese
Preparation
1. Put the eggs and the milk in a bowl, and whisk until they are completely mixed. Spread the mix onto the bread. Separately, mix the ham, pepper and scallions.
2. Arrange 4 bread slices on a greased tin, put half the ham on them, and sprinkle half the cheese. Repeat. Pour the rest of the egg mix over the pie and bake for 30 minute, or until the pie is firm and brown.
Serving suggestion To complement this fabulous dish, serve it with fried vegetables, such us peas, onions or sliced carrots and pepper or celery sticks. Oven temperature: 200°C
Lemon Froth 4 servings
Ingredients 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice ˝ cup (125 ml) white wine 3 tablespoons superfine sugar 1 cup (250 ml) thick cream 2 lemon slices, cut into fourths
Preparation Put the lemon juice, the white wine, the sugar and cream in a bowl and whisk vigorously. Serve the froth in four glasses and decorate with the lemon slices.
