Steps to follow
In all cases to make the glue paste flowers we must follow the steps detailed.
- Take a small portion of the already rested paste and give to it the coloring needed.
- Stretch the paste very thinly on a table sprinkled with cornstarch.
- Cut them appropriately according to the flower desired.
- Mold it with a wooden stick.
- Make the flower on top of a piece of wrapped wire sticking the pieces with Arabic glue, let it dry.
Flower Paste
Ingredients
6 measures of water
1 measure of flavorless jell-o
½ measure glycerin
2 measures glucose
Necessary amounts of powdered sugar
Preparation
Place the water, glycerin, jell-o and glucose in a low fire. When the jell-o is dissolved remove from fire and add the sugar slowly while mixing it with a wooden spoon for it to absorb.
Forget-me-nots
- Model a little paste cone and make a hole in the center with a decorating stick. With your fingers covered with cornstarch soften the sides and cut them into five petals with pointy scissors.
- Stretch each petal with your fingers covered with cornstarch
- With a decorating stick soften each petal from the center to the border.
- Dampen a wire with the Arabic glue and fold the tip, introduce it into the flowers and let them dry. Paint the center yellow and the petals a light blue color. They can be used individually or as a bunch of flowers.
Flowers
- Stretch a piece of colored paste of whatever color you desire and cut with a small forget-me-not mold. Place the flower on top of foamy glue and press each petal in the center with a decorating stick.
- Pinch the center with a needle; introduce a mini-pistil and adhere it with a little Arabic glue. Let it dry. Make two rosebuds by adhering to paste balls to the pistil. Form a bouquet on a wire piece, starting with the buds followed by the open flowers. These flowers can be used to make fallings of lilies of the valley. For this you must have many flowers prepared with holes in the center but without pistils.
- Take a piece of wrapped wire and introduce the flowers and stick them at regular intervals.
