Figs and Mascarpone with Amaretto
Ingredients 250 grams of mascarpone cheese 30 grams of confectioner’s sugar 125 ml of Amaretto (almond liqueur) Figs, opened and cut in squares Almond bread (this can be bought in stores that specialize in Italian food)
Preparation Mix the cheese and the sugar in a recipient. Open a hole in the center and add in the Amaretto and stir. Place the figs in serving dishes and accompany them with the mascarpone and the almond bread.
Serves 6.
Mascarpone can also be served with other fruit or with the following:
- Mascarpone with Amaretto cookies, dipped in express coffee.
- Individual small cakes filled with mascarpone and decorated with glazed orange peels.
- Mascarpone with pineapple, cherries and glazed apricots.
- Mascarpone with Galliano instead of Amaretto, served with fresh fruit.
