Ingredients Recipe
315 grams of dates (ripe and fresh)
¼ cup of brandy or cognac
¼ teaspoon of cinnamon
¼ teaspoon of grounded anise
1 orange (in slices and grated orange peels)
Orange Filling and stuffing
125 grams of cream cheese
4 teaspoons of glazed sugar
2 teaspoons of very fine grated orange peels
4 teaspoons of orange juice
Preparation of stuffed dates
- Halfway slice the date and pit it leaving it open. Place the cognac or brandy, cinnamon and the anise in a glass bowl and mix them. Add the dates and let them soak for at least an hour .
- Filling: Place the cream cheese, the glazed sugar, juice, and the grated orange peels in a bowl and whip up until it gets spongy. Empty into a star point decorator.
- Drain the dates over a paper towel and fill them up with the cheese mix using the decorator. Refrigerate till served.
