Increase appetite: eat fresh leaves in salads, drink in wine or infusion.
Bile affections: boil and drink the infusion.
Hepatic affections: boil and drink the brew or infusion.
Bile, secretion and evacuation: brew, drink one cup before meals. Also, drink as juice or wine.
Renal gallstones: drink the brew from the root or as wine.
Cholesterol: drink the brew from the root on a regular basis.
Skin, taking of care of it: wash with maceration.
Diabetes: drink as wine.

Diuretic: boil and drink the infusion or brew, drink one cup before meals.
Laryngitis: take syrup.
Mouth inflammation: take syrup.
Nursing: helps increase milk production. Boil and drink the infusion.
Laxative: take syrup. While pregnant, drink the brew from the root.
Blood cleanliness: in brew, drink one cup before meals. Also drink as tincture or syrup.
Psoriasis: apply a cataplasm over affected area.
Rheumatism: drink tincture.
Muscular tension: used as aromatic essence.
Warts: Squash the stem of the plant to extract the sap and apply it directly on the wart evry day until it disappears.
Vomiting: boil and drink the infusion.
Preparation
Cataplasm: grind dry plants until transforming it into powder and soak in hot water or grind the fresh plant until a paste if formed. Place them in any natural porous fiber and use as bandage over affected area until discomfort diminishes. Also apply directly over affected area covering the paste with a hot towel.
Brew: boil 10 to 30g of the root in a liter of water during two minutes or from 40 to 60g of roots and leaves for 10 minutes. Let stand for 15 minutes. Drink 3 cups a day for six weeks.
Infusion: add one spoonful of dry herbs to a cup of boiling water. Drink 3 times a day.
Juice: crush the plants with drops of water. Place in gauze, squeeze and strain loose juice. Take from 3 to 5 spoonfuls diluted with water a day.
Syrup: boil several fistfuls of leaves and flowers in a liter of water during 5 minutes. Let stand all night, filter and squeeze the solid residue. Add 1kg of brown sugar or honey, mixing it in low temperature without boiling until it takes the contexture of syrup.
Maceration: cut the plant into pieces and let stand in cold water during the night. Drink the next morning.
Tincture: macerate during 10 days one part of leaves and roots in 5 parts of alcohol of 60º, 65º, 70º or 95º in a dark bottle, preferably airtight bottle. Shake the bottle daily. Filter and place in a suitable container. Take 30 to 40 drops daily diluter with water, 2 to 3 times a day.
Wine: macerate 60g of roots in one liter of white wine. Filter and store it. Drink several cups a day.
Precaution
In case of pregnancy or nursing, do not use without medical supervision. Some of the oil from the plant can be irritating for persons with allergies. Not to use if there is obstruction of the bile flow. Can cause irritation to people with gastritis or stomach ulcers.
