Cover Apple Pie Recipe
Ingredients 250 grs ½ a teaspoon of salt, baking powder 3 teaspoons of sugar 80 grs butter 150 grs cream cheese
Filling 50 grs sugar ½ cup of apple juice ½ kilo of cut apples ¼ cup of cut raisins, chopped nuts and almonds Grated lemon peel Pre beaten egg Teaspoon of honey
Preparation
- In cooking bowl place flour, sugar, baking powder and butter mix well gradually add the cream cheese and egg yolk mix until obtaining smooth dough. Separate the dough in two parts. Spread the dough over a butter pan. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
- In a small pot melt the sugar until it turns into caramel add the cut apples, apple juice, and cut raisins let it cook until the apple are tender, let the apple cool down.
- In a small pan melt honey and dry fruit, and add the apple mix.
- Pour the mix over the dough and cover the pie with the left over dough.
- Bake for 30 minutes; let it cool down before serving.
