Coffee Zabaglione
This is an interesting American variation of this well-known and very loved recipe.
Ingredients: 2 egg yolks 55 gr. of sugar 2 tablespoons of black rum 110 ml of strong black coffee
Preparation: Put the egg yolks and the sugar in a bowl and beat until it is thick and creamy. Add in the rum and place it over a pot of boiling water slowly and continue stirring until it thickens. Then gradually add in the coffee while mixing at the same time, until it has a dense and creamy texture.
Pour it into two cups and serve immediately with cookies or wafers.
Serves 2 people.
