Ingredients
2/3 cup of cottage cheese
¼ cup of thick cream
¼ cup of white feta cheese
1 tablespoon of glazed sugar
½ teaspoon of vanilla
1 tablespoon of Cointreau or Grand Marnier (Orange Liquor)
250 grams of fruit to your liking, like strawberries, plums, peaches, melons, etc
Preparation
- Whip the cottage cheese. Add the cream, white cheese, glazed sugar and vanilla and whip for couple more seconds.
- Pad 4 molds with just washed and wrung wax paper and refill them with the cheese mixture, squeezing well. Place the molds on a grid over a pan. Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours.
- Molds for the Coeur de Crème: These are made from ceramic (there’s also porcelain ones), in shape of hearts and with holes at the base, like in a flower pot. Before padding them with the cloth rinse the well with cold water, but don’t dry them. You can make your own molds: take empty yogurt bottles and cut them leaving 2.5 cm. of height. Then make the holes (4-5) with a sewing needle. These molds won’t be heart shaped like the ceramic ones, but the dessert will look and taste extremely well.
