Christmas Sweet Bread Recipe
Ingredients 30 grs yeast ¼ of cup warm water 2 teaspoons of flour 250 grs flour 100 grs butter 50 grs sugar Grated lemon peel 1 egg Warm milk
Filling 50 grs chopped nuts 50 grs almonds 100 grs raisins 100 grs of white raisins 100 grs candied fruit
Preparation
- In small bowl dissolve yeast, sugar, 2 teaspoon of flour with warm milk, let the mix rise for 15 minutes.
- In big bowl mix flour, sugar, butter, grated lemon peel; egg and warm milk mix all the ingredients until obtaining smooth dough, cover the dough with a towel and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Add the dry fruit to the dough; knead the dough until all the fruit it’s well mixed.
- Bake in the oven for 45 minutes.
