Cheery Cake Recipe
Ingredients 4 egg yolks 4 teaspoons of water 100 grs sugar 4 egg whites 50 grs of sugar 150 grs of flour 50 grs cornstarch 1 teaspoon of baking powder Vanilla
Frosting 250 grs canned cherries Whip cream 3 teaspoons of liquor
Preparation
- In a small cooking bowl beat egg yolks and water until creamy gradually add 100 grs of sugar keep beating for 6 more minutes.
- Beat egg whites gradually add 50 grs of sugar, keep beating until obtaining a thick meringue.
- Add meringue to the previous mix, and beat while adding flour, baking powder and cornstarch until obtaining a creamy and smooth batter.
- Butter pan with butter, pour the batter on pan, and bake cake for 45 minutes.
Frosting Preparation
- Beat cream with liquor; decorate the cake with whip cream and cherries.
- Refrigerate the cake for 2 hours before serving
