Catalan Cream with Strawberries

Ingredients
1 lt milk
8 eggs
35 gr cornstarch
200 gr glazed sugar
1 cinnamon stick
1 lemon
1 tspn vanilla
200 gr strawberries

Preparation
Cut lemon peels in strips. Pour 750 ml of milk in a pot and sprinkle the sugar over it. Add the cinnamon stick, vanilla and lemon peel. Once it boils, lower the heat and stir well for 3-4 minutes.

In another bowl dissolve the cornstarch with 250 ml of milk. Beat the 8 yolks and add them to the mix.

Strain the boiled milk and put back in the pot and on the stove; add the egg and milk mix slowly stirring constantly.

Continue stirring cream on fire until it thickens and is smooth. Let it cool for 20 min and refrigerate.  

Rinse the strawberries, remove the stem and cut in four. Beat the cold cream, pour in a serving pan and decorate with strawberries.
