Carrots in Natural Remedies 

 

Curative properties 

Acidity: drink 3 cups a day of carrot juice.

Acne: drink 450ml of carrot juice with 175ml of spinach and asparagus juice.

Tonsillitis: drink 225ml of carrot juice with 225ml of onion juice.

Anemia, increase appetite: grate a carrot, mix with garlic or anis and eat daily.

Asthma, bronchitis: boil water and add the carrot root.  Drink a cup of this brew with lemon and honey.

Digestive: drink the brew of the carrot root or the seeds.

Diuretic: boil the carrot root and drink.  If not, drink the carrot infusion.

Headache: drink 275ml of carrot juice with 100ml of beet and 175ml of cucumber juice.

Menstrual pain: drink the raw carrot juice, fasting, for a whole week before the day your menstruation is suppose to start.

Fortify teeth: for teeth formation, it is recommended for children to chew daily raw carrots helping to fortify the jaw, gums and denture.

Gases: eat a carrot once you have finished eating or boil the root in water and drink after meals.

Urinary tract inflammation: boil the carrot root and drink a cup fasting. 

Eye inflammation: sprinkle some vegetal oil over grated carrots and apply over eyelids covering with two slices of cucumber.

Nursing: to stimulate milk secretion, boil carrot seed and drink.

Laxative: grate six carrots and eat little by little throughout the day.  If not, boil 1 kilogram of carrots in a liter of water for two hours, strain and drink.

Hepatic affections: cut the root of the carrot and drink with lemon and honey.

Eyesight problems: in severe cases, drink 3 cups of carrot juice a day.  If you want to have a better vision in some particular moment, for example when driving, eat a raw carrot before doing that activity.

Burns, ulcers: crush fresh carrot leaves and apply over affected area.
