Candied Squash
Ingredients 1 kg bottle squash 1 kg sugar 2 sticks of clover 1 hand full of fresh mint leaves 20 gr black pepper 20 gr white pepper
Whipped Cream 250 ml milk cream 1 tbspn glazed sugar
Ingredients Cut the squashes half long ways. Take the seeds out with a small spoon. Peel well and cut the squash in small cubes.
Fill a bowl with cold water and place the squash cubes inside. Let them soak for 2 hrs. Then strain.
Place in a pot with hot water and let them cook for 5 min, or enough time for them to soften.
Strain the squash cubes again. Place in another pot and add the sugar and 500 ml of cold water, which will do to make the syrup.
Now add the mint leaves, white and black pepper and the clover. Let the squash candy for 30 min at low flame.
In a mixing bowl beat the milk cream and glazed sugar, mix until it forms a firm smooth texture. Place the squash cubes in a plate covered with the syrup and accompany with a cup of the whipped cream.
