Cake Decorating with  Flowers

Peach or apple flowers
  1. With green paste, make a small lamina; squash the lower extreme, introduce the smaller cutter of forget-me-nots and cut the chalice. Pinch the center with a needle and introduce a headless pistil with Arabic glue.
  2. Stretch the white paste until it’s almost transparent and cut five petals of approximately 1 cm in diameter with a small petal cutter. Decorate each one with a bobbin for lace making on the palm of your hands.
  3. Once you have formed the 5 petals stick them onto the chalice between its leaves and stick them with Arabic glue.
  4. Let it dry and paint the reverse of the petals a pink color.
  5. Place a little royal glaze in the center of each flower and insert 14 headless pistils. Paint the tips pink.

Jasmine

  1. Form a paste cone and hollow it with a decorating stick. Stretch the sides with your fingers with a lot of cornstarch and cut five petals using pointed scissors.
  2. Press each petal with your fingers to make them thinner and cut them with curved scissors to give them shape.
  3. Place the flower upside down on top of foamy glue and with a bobbin press each petal from the center to the tip. With the tip of your fingers, bend some petals to give them a more natural look.
  4. Introduce a folded tip wire which should be dampened with Arabic glue. Let it dry. Paint the base of the flower pink and leave the rest of the flower white.

Daisies

  1. Stretch the white paste and cut with a daisy cutter. Cut the petals in the center or lengthwise and give to them a special form. Make a hole in the center of the flower big enough to pass a florist wire through. Let it dry.
  2. Place yellow glaze on the hole and put a green wrapped wire with a folded tip. Make many yellow glazed dots in the center of the flower using the decorating tip for grass. Let it dry. Shape a tear with green paste and stretch its side, cut the chalice with a special cutter. Introduce it into the wire and stick it to the lower part of the flower with Arabic glue.

Orange blossom

  1. Take a small portion of the paste the size of a pea and give to it the shape of a cone. Hollow the center with a decorating stick and cut the sides into 5 equal petals. Stretch them with your fingers with starch and bend them outwards. Stretch a piece of the paste and cut a rectangle of about 2cm x 1,5cm. Remove the tip of one side with a scalpel and wrap the piece around a yellow stamen. Dampen the base with Arabic glue. These will be the stamens. Let them dry and paint the tips with yellow coloring.
  2. Paint the base of the stamens with Arabic glue and place them into the already prepared flower. Let them dry. To make the buds, wire some paste balls the size of a pea. Join four or five of these together, plus some leaves in a stem.

Strawberry flowers

  1. Stretch the white paste with the thickness of 1 mm and cut 5 petals with a special cutter. Place the petal in the palm of your hand with the pointed tip downwards and stretch it with a bobbin until it is almost transparent.
  2. Roll the left side towards you softly. Place them onto the handle of a wooden spoon and let them dry partially. Paint the base of each petal yellow.
  3. Place each petal on top of each other, join them by putting pressure and place the left side petal under the right one.
  4. Curve the petals outward for it to look like a natural flower. Bend the tip of a florist wire dampening it with Arabic glue and pressing it on the base of the flower. Hold it firmly. Place the flower on a cone made with a squared piece of aluminum foil and let it dry on the tip of a bottle.
  5. Once dry, turn the flower over and paint the nerves brown in the center of each petal. Paint the center of each flower brown too.
  6. To make the buds, make a long drop of paste on a florist wire. Make five cuts on the drop from one point to the other. Holding each tip between the thumb and index fingers of both hands, twist the drop by turning your hands on opposite sides. Let it dry.

Carnations

  1. Stretch the colored paste of whatever color you desire and cut the wavy sides circularly. Place it on a cornstarch sprinkled table and curve each wave with a decorating stick. Once all the waves are lace trimmed, turn it over on the work table; place a little Arabic glue on the center of the folding.
  2. With a stick, bring both laterals to the center, dividing the initial circle in fours. Place a little more Arabic glue between the folds and press it with your fingers.
  3. Join the pistils to a piece of florist wire. Pass this through the center of the petals so that only the pistils can be seen and stick it with Arabic glue.
  4. Cut another circle as mentioned before and do the same process; paint the center with Arabic glue and pass the wire and flower previously done together. Press them well to join both parts.
  5. Stretch the green paste and cut a rectangle with one side toothed with five tips; stretch each one with a roller and glue it onto the prepared flower with Arabic glue.
  6. Cut two petals of green paste and stretch them a little with a bobbin. Stick them to the chalice on the opposite side of the flower.
  7. Make two similar petals but narrower and a little shorter; stick them between the previous petals.
  8. Knead a piece of green paste between your fingers and form a stem, with pointed tips and the center a little thinner. Place a wire in the middle and stick it to the chalice with Arabic glue.

Wallflowers
Make a glue paste ball. Fold the side of a piece of wire, cover it with the paste ball and trim the tips. Make a hole in the top part with a toothpick and cut four petals of 3mm in length, finishing with a tip. Mark the ovaries with a needle placed horizontally. This will be the chalice. Stretch the paste of whatever color desired and cut four petals. Trim the sides with a bobbin and draw the veins in the lower part. Glue the petals to the chalice with Arabic glue and let it dry. Place five pistils in the center of the flower and paint the base of the petals with brown or diluted yellow coloring. To make the buds make a pate ball in the shape of a drop on the head of one pistil or on a piece of wire with a hook.
