Blue Gum Tree in Medicinal Herbs

 

Curative properties

Asthma: boil and drink the infusion or the brew.  Also can be done as inhalations with the leaves.

Bronchitis: boil and drink the infusion or do inhalations with the leaves and fruit.

Colic: boil and drink the brew, infusion or syrup.

Cuts and scrapes: wash with the brew of a handful of leaves in a liter of water during 10 minutes or with the tincture diluted with water.

Diabetes: boil and drink the brew or infusion of 2 to 3 spoonful of crushed leaves per liter of water, two times a day.  Also take the tincture diluted in water.

Flu:  boil and drink the brew or infusion or do inhalations with the leaves.

Laryngitis: boil and drink the brew or infusion from the leaves.

Flu: boil and drink the brew or infusion or do inhalations with the leaves.

Sinusitis: do inhalations with the fresh plant or with the tincture.

Sudorific: boil and drink the brew or infusion from the leaves and fruit.  Also apply a cataplasm.

Cough: boil and drink the brew or infusion from the leaves and fruit.

Preparation 

Essential oil: distilled from the leaves.

Cataplasm: grind dry plants until transforming it into powder and soak in hot water or grind the fresh plant until forming a paste.   Place them in any natural porous fiber and use as bandage over affected area until discomfort diminishes. Also apply directly over affected area covering the paste with a hot towel.

Brew: boil 20g of the plant into a liter of water.  Let stand for a few minutes and strain.  Drink as drinking water.

Infusion: add 2 to 3 fresh leaves into half a liter of water or one spoonful in a cup. Cover and let stand between 5 to 20 minutes.  Take 2 to 3 times a day.

Inhalations: boil water and add the plant.  Breathe the vapor directly from the pot, covering the head with a towel and closing eyes and mouth.  A paper or carton cone can also be used that adapts the mouth and nose.  Do inhalations 3 times a day.

Syrup: prepare infusion of 100g from dry leaves (approximately 3 fistfuls) in a liter of water.  Cover and let stand for 2 hours.  Strain and add 850g of sugar and stir in low temperature until dissolved.  Filter and add water until it completes one liter. Take one spoonful every 4 hours.

Sauna: use the leaves with vapor.

Tincture: macerate 200g of cut leaves into a liter of alcohol of 90ยบ, for 10 days. Filter and store in an airtight container.  Take 20 to 30 drops per cup of water, 2 times a day.

Precaution
Do not use in case of pregnancy or nursing, respiratory allergies, gastric ulcers or duodenum, neither with sedatives or anesthetics, nor over cuts or open wounds.  Do not mix with products that have iodize.  Consumed in excess can cause gastritis or have allergic reactions. After inhalations, do not expose to air. Respect doses and do not exceed treatment from 10 to 20 days.
