Baked Pears

Ingredients
6 big ripe pears
425gr of bread dough bought at a bakery
80gr butter
1 egg yolk
Ground sugar
125gr of fresh cream

Preparation

  1. Soften the butter lightly and add it to the dough.
  2. Knead for a few minutes.
  3. Peel the pears carefully, trying not to sully the bottom of the pears.
  4. Divide the dough in seven parts.
  5. Cover each pear with the dough.
  6. Pinch the dough on the top part and touch up the sides by using a little dab of water to perfect the presentation.
  7. Cut six slices from the missing dough ball.
  8. Place them around and stick them by wetting the bottom part of each.
  9. Brown the dried peach lightly with the egg yolk previously diluted in a dab of water with the help of a brush.
  10. Place at a medium heat, but very hot oven for around 25-30 minutes.
  11. Serve with fresh cream and powdered sugar.
